This specimen was lot 34089 in Heritage sale 3106 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $1,920. The catalog description[1] noted, "Netherlands: West Friesland. Provincial gold Ducat 1650 MS64 NGC. A superior example for the type, witnessing some localized areas of softness in detail compensated by the abundantly sharp central areas and hearty honey-gold tone on the luminous surfaces. Bested by only one specimen that has attained a higher technical grade in the NGC population." Friedberg lists this type for 1607-83.
