This specimen was lot 893 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 4,500 CHF (about US$5,973 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"THE NETHERLANDS | Utrecht, Provinz. 14 Gulden 1763. Goldener Reiter - Gouden rijder. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Netherlands, province of Utrecht, fourteen gulden of 1763, gold rider. Rare in this condition. NGC MS63+, Magnificent condition.)"
This type was struck in this province 1749-51, 1760-63. Despite the short span of issue, all seven of the United Provinces issued this type and it remained popular for a long time.
