This specimen was lot 21627 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $2,300. The catalog description[1] noted, "Westfriesland. Gold 14 Gulden 1763, MS63 NGC, a choice example with light original toning and well-struck design details." This expensive type is listed for 1749-51 and 1760-63. It was the largest gold coin regularly issued in the United Provinces.
