The first specimen was lot 21626 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $2,300. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Utrecht. Gold 14 Gulden 1761, MS63 NGC, fully brilliant with strong eye appeal, minor handling in the fields. An appealing example of a 'gold rider.'" This expensive type is listed for 1749-51 and 1760-63. It was the largest gold coin regularly issued in the United Provinces.

Recorded mintage: 211,000 (including the seven gulden).

Specification: 9.93 g, 0.917 fine gold, .292 troy oz AGW.
