NGC AU-50 "Strong Mintmark" ~ White Oak River Collection
US 1853C 5 dollars rev.jpg

Mintages dropped over 7,000 from the previous year, yet remaining survivors number very closely to the 1852-C. This example exhibits lustrous, original orange-gold surfaces.

'Specification: 21.6 mm diameter, 8.359 g, 0.900 fine gold, .2418 troy oz AGW, reeded edge.
