This specimen was lot 73456 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Puebla. Tetela del Oro y Ocampo. 2 Centavos, 1915. NGC MS-62 Brown. Variety with "E DE PUE" in reverse legend. Outstanding Mint State preservation results is a blend of rich chocolate, sepia, and steel-blue iridescence punctuated by bold mint red near the devices. Satin luster elevates the color, all without the hindrance of marks, nicks, or carbon. The strike is also nearly full, an exceptional trait for the crude type. Very possibly undergraded by NGC." Tetela del Oro is a small town in Puebla state briefly captured by the Zapatistas, who issued this two centavos in many varieties. The town is known today simply as Tetela de Ocampo, the gold mines having closed long ago.
