This specimen was lot 1260 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND: Confederation, AE rappen, 1851-A, Paris mint, PCGS graded MS64 BN, ex Bob 'Swamperbob' Gurney Collection." This type was struck 1850-57, 1863-72, 1875-84 and 1887-1900. The years 1850-51 were made at Paris, the later dates at Bern. A slightly lighter version (KM 3.2) was struck 1902-41.
Recorded mintage: 2,730,000.
