This specimen was lot 43492 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $960. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Ore, 1645. Avesta Mint. Christina. PCGS MS-62 Brown. From the Augustana Collection." This type was struck in large quantities 1644-53. Possessing abundant supplies of copper, Sweden produced many large copper coins including the famous plate money. Unfortunately, few saved them and they are today scarce except in corroded or damaged condition.
