Sweden 1645-AG riksdaler Dav-4525
This specimen was lot 42616 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $5,040. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Riksdaler, 1645-AG. Stockholm Mint. Christina. PCGS AU-55. A popular issue bearing the portrait of the young queen, who was in her teens at the commencement of this design. Well-struck and unimpaired by any major surface issues, with a particularly sharp figure of Christ on the reverse. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck 1641-47 and 1652-53 with numerous varieties; some have Roman numeral dates (as here) and later issues have Arabic numeral dates. This is a common date for the type.
