This specimen was lot 25153 in Heritage sale 3016 (Orlando, FL, January 2012), where it sold for $1,610. The catalog description[1] noted, "Ferdinand VII gold 4 Escudos 1818-GJ Madrid, KM484, AU55 NGC, lightly toned with abundant mint luster, the final 8 in the date appears to be cut over a 7. An attractive coin and scarce in this quality." This type was issued at Madrid 1814-20 and 1824 and is the last issue of the traditional gold four escudos. Unlike the four escudos of the Latin American mints, it is fairly common.
