Spain 1799-Seg maravedi
The first specimen was lot 885 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $423.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN, Reino de España. Carlos IV. 1788-1808. CU Maravedi. Segovia mint; im: aqueduct. Dated 1799. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 65 RB. Gem reddish brown and very fine underlying luster. Only coin graded for the date and none graded higher for the type. Purchased from Paul Davis, February 1974." The SCWC lists this type from Segovia for 1791, 1793 and 1799. It is rather scarcer than the larger two, four and eight maravedis.
