Spain 1628-S R 2 reales
This specimen was lot 1613 in Jean Elsen sale 165 (Brussels, June 2026), where it sold for €190 (about US$262 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ESPAGNE, Philippe IV (1621-1665), AR 2 reales, 1628, Séville. D/ Écu couronné. R/ Quadrilobe anglé aux armes de Castille et Leon. Rare. Très Beau. (kingdom of Spain, Philip IV, 1621-65, silver two reales of 1628, Seville mint. Obverse: crowned arms; reverse: angled quadrilobe with the arms of Castile and Leon. Rare, Very Fine.)"
This cob two reales was struck at Seville 1623, 1627-29, 1633-36. Cayón reports this date with assayers "R" and "B".
