This specimen was lot 461 in Áureo y Calicó sale 345 (Barcelona, March 2020), where it sold for €800 (about US$1,056 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"(1)628. Felipe IV. Sevilla. R. 2 escudos. Ex Áureo 04/03/1998, nº 1748. Ex Colección Lepanto, Áureo 27/04/1999, nº 736. Rara. MBC. (kingdom of Spain, Philip IV, 1621-65, two escudos of 1628, Seville mint, rare, very fine.)"
The SCWC shows this type as struck 1622-23, 1628-29, 1634, 1640-45, 1651-52, 1661 and also at Madrid and Granada. Cayón does not list this date.
