This specimen was lot 72228 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "SOUTH AFRICA. Penny, 1928. London Mint. George V. NGC MS-63 Brown. Mostly even and silky brown surfaces with speckles of original red scattered about. A nice example to add to your copper collection." The South African pennies of George V run 1923-36 with this subtype issued 1926-30. It is reasonably common considering the moderate mintage.
