This specimen was lot 32295 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "Switzerland: Solothurn. Canton gold Duplone 1797 MS62 NGC, A lightly toned example with a clear, bold strike, satiny luster, and hints of mirroring in the fields. From the Allen Moretti Swiss Collection." This expensive type was struck 1796-98 and was accompanied by quarter, half and double duplone.
