This specimen was lot 737 in Jean Elsen sale 122 (Brussels, September 2014), where it sold for €2,400 (about US$3,676 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ALLEMAGNE, SILESIE-LIEGNITZ-BRIEG, Johann Christian et Georg Rudolph (1602-1621), AV 4 ducats, 1621, Droit: B. cuirassé des deux frères face à face. Revers: Ecu surmonté de trois heaumes. Extrêmement Rare. Traces de monture. presque Très Beau. (Duchy of Silesia-Liegnitz-Brieg, John Christian and George Rudolf (1602-21), gold four ducats of 1621. Obverse: Armored busts of the two brothers face to face; reverse: arms with three helmets above. Extremely rare, traces of mounting, about very fine.)"
This type is listed for 1616-21 as a six ducat coin, tho this specimen only weighs enough for four ducats. Silesia is considered a German State even tho the province was then under Austrian rule and is now in Poland.
