Munsterberg-Oels 1621-BH 4 ducat Fr-3258
This specimen was lot 644 in SINCONA sale 1 (Zürich, June 2011), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Schlesien-Münsterberg-Oels, Herzogtum Heinrich Wenceslas und Karl Friedrich, 1617-1639. 4 Dukaten 1621. Die geharnischten Brustbilder einander gegenüber, darunter die Jahreszahl. Rv. Fünffach behelmtes Wappen. Kl. Stempelbr. Fast vorzüglich-vorzüglich. (Duchy of Munsterberg-Oels in Silesia, Henry Wenceslas and Charles Frederic, 1617-39, four ducats of 1621. Armored busts of the dukes facing, date below. Reverse: five helmeted arms. Nice extremely fine.)"
This rare and expensive coin is listed but not priced in the SCWC. Four ducats are recorded for 1612-22 from the duchy, which later fell to Austria.
