This specimen was lot 22724 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $110. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. 2 Mark, 1902-E. Muldenhutten Mint. PCGS MS-65 Secure Holder. Struck to commemorate the death of Albert. An eye catching Gem representative with olive, copper and faint mauve toning mixed over both sides." The bust used on this death commemorative is the same used on the regular issue of 1891-1902 (KM 1245).
Recorded mintage: 167,625 plus a 250 proofs.
Specification: 11.11 g, 0.900 fine silver.
