This specimen was lot 46019 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Bavaria. 2 Mark, 1902-D. Munich Mint. Otto. PCGS MS-64." This is a common date of a common type struck in 1891-1908, 1912-1913. It superseded the gulden from before unification. The kingdom was abolished with the collapse of the Empire in 1918.
