This specimen was lot 47175 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. 1/12 Taler, 1810. Freidrich August I. PCGS MS-66." This type was struck 1806-18. The obverse legend, "FRID·AVGVST·D·G·REX SAXONIÆ", refers to Frederick's new status as king, a promotion he received from Napoleon.
Recorded mintage: 515,000.
