This specimen was lot 2987 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAXONY: Friedrich August I, 1806-1827, AR 1/6 thaler (1/4 gulden), 1808, initials SGH, great luster and eye appeal, NGC graded MS63." This type was struck in substantial numbers 1806-10, 1813 and 1817. The 1808 and 1810 are the most common dates. The king also struck one, three, four and eight pfenninge and 1/48, 1/6, 1/3, 2/3 and single thalers in 1808.
