This specimen was lot 1233 in Sincona sale 38 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 2,600 CHF (about US$3,118 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Sachsen, Kurfürstentum, Friedrich August II. 1733-1763 Dukat 1756. Dresden. Selten. Sehr schön. Leicht gewellt. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Frederick August II, 1733-63, ducat of 1756, Dresden mint. Rare, Very fine, Lightly wavy planchet.)"
This type was struck steadily 1735-63 yet is today rarer than most of the commemorative ducats struck in the same period.
