Steve Album Auction 54, lot 2568

This specimen was lot 2568 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAXONY: Friedrich August II, 1733-1763, AR 1/48 thaler, Dresden, 1756, mintmaster initials IGS, a wonderful lustrous mint state example! PCGS graded MS64." This type was struck 1734-56. It was worth half a groschen and may have circulated in Poland.
