This specimen was lot 38400 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. 2/3 Taler, 1703-ILH. Friedrich August I. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, VF Details." This type was struck 1697-1705 and is fairly common tho choice examples are few. The obverse legend, "DG • FRID• AUGUST• REX• POLONIARUM•", refers to the elector's title as king of Poland.
