Künker Auction 426, lot 3792

This specimen was lot 3792 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €1,400 (about US$1,983 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM Friedrich August I., 1694-1733 (August der Starke). Reichstaler 1705, Dresden. R Henkelspur, bearbeitet, schön-sehr schön. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, Frederick Augustus I, 1694-1733, thaler of 1705, Dresden mint. Rare, mount mark, tooled, fine to very fine.)"

The SCWC cross references this to Dav-7656, which is the Davenport number for the 1698-1700 issues; Dav-2647 applies to the issues of 1701-05. All dates are quite expensive.
