This specimen was lot 55801 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. 2/3 Taler, 1707-ILH. Dresden Mint. Friedrich August I. NGC VF-30. From the Augustana Collection." This type was struck 1705-07 and is rather scarce. The obverse legend, "D • G • FRID: AUGUST: REX POLONIARUM", refers to the elector's title as king of Poland.
