This specimen was lot 32081 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $43,200. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Near-Mint State 10 Ducats. Salzburg. Guidobald gold 10 Ducats 1654 AU58 NGC, A gorgeous near Mint State multiple Ducat, elaborately engraved to an impressive standard in line with its high denomination. The first aspect which catches the eye is its color, a bold sunset yellow; graced with a scintillating lustrous glow at the peripheries, hints of deep peach breaking through in the recesses, uniform sharpness across the entirety of the designs with only the lightest hint of highpoint rub. Struck in the year of Guidobald's election as Archbishop of Salzburg, this type is extremely rare and almost completely absent from auction record. Collectors of the Austrian numismatic series will certainly have to place a strong bid to add this beautiful Almost Uncirculated specimen to their collection." This type, like most multiple ducats, is rare.
