This specimen was lot 75529 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $89. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 10 Kopeks, 1916. Osaka Mint. Nicholas II. PCGS MS-64." This type was struck 1915-17 and was the final issue of this denomination before the collapse of the tsarist regime. Made in large quantities and extensively hoarded, it is common today. The Osaka mint in Japan was contracted to produce this issue in 1916.
Recorded mintage: 70,001,000 plus 121,500,000 from St. Petersburg (initials BC).
