This specimen was lot 561 in Sincona sale 84 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$269 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RUSSIA Russian Empire and Federation, 1/4 Kopeck 1915, St. Petersburg Mint. Rare. About uncirculated."
This type was minted at St. Petersburg 1908-14 with mintmark and 1915-16 without, after which the denomination was dropped.
