Sincona sale 77, lot 3058

This specimen was lot 3058 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 425 CHF (about US$516 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Nicholas II. 1894-1917. 2 Kopecks 1901, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB. NGC MS66 RB." This type is listed for 1867-1914. The nineteenth century dates are scarce in nice condition but the later dates are common with, of course, the exception of the proofs.

Recorded mintage: 20,000,000.
