Stack's Bowers November 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 78380

This specimen was lot 78380 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $105. The catalog description^[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Grivennik (10 Kopeks), 1753-IN. Moscow (Red) Mint. Elizabeth. NGC VF-35. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck in Moscow 1746-57 and is not expensive in grades up thru Very Fine. Altho it has mintmaster's initials, it lacks the "MМД" mintmark.

Recorded mintage: 510,000.

Specification: 2.42 g, 0.802 fine silver.
