Künker sale 405, lot 3280

This specimen was lot 3280 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €3,000 (about US$3,936 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS JOSEF II., 1765-1790. Goldmünzen aus der Zeit des Kaisers Josef II. ¼ Dukat o. J. (1765-1790), mit Titel Josefs II. Münzmeister Georg Christoph Busch. Stempelschneider vermutlich Johann Nikolaus Körnlein. GOLD. Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (city of Regensburg, undated quarter ducat, struck in the name of Joseph II. Cabinet example, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This is the only issue of this denomination for Joseph II.
