Künker sale 405, lot 3068

This specimen was lot 3068 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €50 (about US$66 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS RUDOLF II., 1576-1612. 1/84 Gulden (Pfennig) 1578. Münzmeister Jakob Fischer. Vorzüglich. (city of Regensburg, pfennig of 1578. Extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1578-86 and was worth 5/7 of a kreuzer. Another pfennig of 1578 (KM MB160) was struck in klippe format.
