This specimen was lot 32915 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $228. The catalog description[1] noted, "Quedlinburg. Anna Sophia 2/3 Taler 1676-HIC AU Details (Surface Hairlines) NGC. This small Abbey produced only a small number of coins. This example exhibits some hairlines, but is nonetheless attractive and hard to find." The auction catalog attributes this to KM 62, which has been renumbered to KM B52 and depicts a monogram obverse. We have assigned this to KM 61 of 1676-77. The abbess of Quedlinburg joined the fad for 2/3 thalers by issuing this and seven other types 1675-77.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver.
