This specimen was lot 3491 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €420 (about US$585 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/12 Taler 1771, A, Berlin. Berliner Typ. Vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one twelfth thaler of 1771, Berlin mint, Berlin type. Extremely fine.)"
This is the final date of a type struck 1764-71. An issue in 1772 from Königsberg terminated the denomination.
