Künker sale 353, lot 3178

This specimen was lot 3178 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €700 (about US$974 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich (III.) I. 1701-1713. 1/3 Taler 1701, CS, Berlin. Mit schmalem Brustbild. Münzmeister Christoph Stricker. R Leichte Belagreste, sehr schön. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick I, 1701-13, half gulden of 1701, Berlin mint, with slim bust. Rare, minor deposits, very fine.)"

This type was struck in Berlin 1701-07, 1711.
