This specimen was lot 23500 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "PORTUGAL. 1/2 Tostao, ND (1521-57). Lisbon Mint. Joao III. NGC EF-45. Only gently handled and with problem free surfaces, this attractive specimen presents a well centered strike. A premium quality piece for the grade assigned."
