This specimen was lot 1373 in Áureo y Calicó sale 346 (Barcelona, March 2020), where it sold for €570 (about US$752 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1817. Fernando VII. Lima. JP. 1 escudo. Hojita en reverso. Bella. Brillo original. Rara. EBC-. (kingdom of Spain, Ferdinand VII, one escudo of 1817, Lima mint. Attempted hole on the reverse, handsome, original luster, rare, abut extremely fine.)"
While eight escudos from Peru are reasonably available, the smaller gold denominations are all very scarce.
