The first specimen was lot 12420 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. Escudo, 1759-JM. NGC AU-50. Ferdinand VI (1746-60). VERY RARE." This type was struck in the name of Ferdinand VI 1754-59 and is rare.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.917 fine gold, .099 troy oz AGW.
