This specimen was lot 75585 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $1,342. The catalog description[1] noted, "PERU. 2 Escudos, 1759-LM JM. Lima Mint. Ferdinand VI. PCGS Genuine--Mount Removed, EF Details. The first example we can recall offering of this RARE type, and quite desirable despite the noted evidence of mounting. From the Richard August Collection." The SCWC lists this rare type for 1755 and 1758-60 and prices them all the same.
