Papal States 1735 testone KM-863

from the Tom Fitzgerald Collection

This date is listed in the SCWC for 1735 only. Berman notes a similar testone (2632) with the reverse enclosed in a cartouche instead of the laurel wreath shown here. The testone was thirty baiocchi, while the piastra, the Italian equivalent of the German thaler, was 105 baiocchi (3½ testone).
