The first specimen was lot 50537 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $429. The catalog description[1] noted, "Testone, 1735. NGC AU Details--Surface Hairlines. Clement XII (1730-40)." The third specimen was lot 1109 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[2] noted, "PAPAL STATES: Clement XII, 1730-40, AR testone, ND (1734)-V, NGC graded AU53." This date is listed in the SCWC as 1734 but the coin is clearly marked 1735. The testone was thirty baiocchi, while the piastra, the Italian equivalent of the German thaler, was 105 baiocchi.

Specification: 7.95 g, silver, 0.917 fine.
