Künker sale 403, lot 1553

This specimen was lot 1553 in Künker sale 403 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €1,700 (about US$2,231 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"PAPST CLEMENS XII., 1730-1740. Die Münzstätte Rom. Scudo d’oro A VI/1735, Rom. Mit LABOR / ADDITVS / 1735 auf der Rückseite. GOLD. Winz. Kratzer, vorzüglich. (Papal States, Clement XII, 1730-40, scudo d'oro of the year 6, 1735, Rome mint, with "LABOR / ADDITVS / 1735" on the reverse. Minor scratches, extremely fine.)"

Another scudo d'oro for 1735 has the pope's arms on the obverse (KM 868).
