This specimen was lot 11046 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €2,040 (about US$2,126). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 2 Mark, 1659. Christiania mint. Frederik III. NGC AU-50. Scarce and interesting variation with clover mintmark and 'AO' in front of date. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale-1922)." This type was struck 1649-62 and is scarce. One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.
