This specimen was lot 11043 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €2,040 (about US$2,126). The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 8 Skilling, 1658. Christiania mint. Frederik III. NGC VF-30. All Norwegian 8 Skillings of Frederik III are scarce. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale-1922)." This type was struck 1649-65 and 1668 and is rare. One specie daler was six mark or 96 skilling.
