This specimen was lot 1187 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $152.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "MÜHLHAUSEN: AR 6 pfennig, 1767, PCGS graded MS65, ex Don Erickson Collection." There are two towns named Muhlhausen in Germany; one now in French Alsace, and this one in Thuringia, between Eichsfeld and Schwarzburg. Long an imperial free city, it was mediatized to Prussia in 1802. This issue accompanied a 2 pfenninge (KM 70), 3 pfenninge (KM 56.2), 1/24 thaler (KM 72), 1/12 thaler (KM 73), 2/3 thaler (KM 74) and thaler (KM 75). None are common.
