This specimen was lot 22612 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Montfort. 15 Kreuzer, 1692. Anton II. ABOUT UNCIRCULATED. Slightly curled from roller dies but boldly struck and lustrous. A rather pleasing piece with just a few minor spots. Montfort, in the Austrian Vorarlberg, is sometimes classed as an Austrian State. Ex: George Gund III Collection (Stack's - 1/2007) Lot #3036." This one year type would have traded for a quarter gulden. Montfort is an extremely obscure locality on the shore of Lake Constance in Wurttemberg.
