This specimen was lot 1329 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 3,750 CHF (about US$5,439 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Montfort, Grafschaft, Anton der Jüngere, 1693-1733. Taler 1695/4, Langenargen. Mit Titel Leopolds I. Jahreszahl im Stempel aus 1694 geändert. Walzenprägung. Selten. Vorzüglich. This type was struck 1694-96. All the dates are rare. The 1695/4 overdate shown here is mentioned in the SCWC. Montfort is an extremely obscure locality on the shore of Lake Constance in Wurttemberg. We have filed it under Austria as the counts sold out to the Austrian emperor in 1780.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specifications: silver, this specimen 29.37 g.
