This specimen was issued by the Mexico City mint to honor Octavio Paz, winner of the Nobel Prize for literature. He was honored with a previous twenty pesos in 2001 (KM 638).

Recorded mintage: 4,954,000.

Specification: 15.95 g, bimetallic, aluminum-bronze outer ring with a copper-nickel center, 32 mm diameter.
