This specimen was lot 73287 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Silver Proof 'Adelita' 10 Peso, 2010-Mo. Mexico City Mint. PCGS PROOF-69 Deep Cameo. Issued to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution. "Adelitas" were women soldiers who filled roles as nurses, cooks, and most notably - combatants in the Mexican Revolution. Brilliantly reflective fields and frosted devices. Most attractive." Wikipedia comments, "'La Adelita' is one of the most famous corridos of the Mexican Revolution." It is still a standard among mariachi bands of today.
